Both Trion and Chattooga took to the gridiron Friday night looking for wins over visiting opponents. Trion was set to face off against a familiar foe in the Lafayette Ramblers, while Chattooga looked to defend the Little Big Horn from the invading Heard County Braves. At the end of the night, Trion would improve to 2-0 on the young season, while Chattooga would be handed their loss of the season. 

Trion started off fast, opening up a 13-0 lead on the Ramblers. By the half, the Trion lead would be 26-7 due to a nifty pass with only 0.6 seconds remaining in the 1st half. Despite leading the entire 1st half, Trion was not nearly as sharp as last week, fumbling the ball multiple times. Luckily for the Dawgs, they were able to recover most of the fumbles and the ones they lost did not come back to haunt them. 

Trion would move the ball well in the 3rd quarter, but the turnover bug would again strike the team, keeping them from breaking the game wide open. Trion would fumble deep in Lafayette's territory, but would end up with points anyway, stopping the Ramblers in their own endzone for a safety, making the score 28-7.

Trion would score again in the fourth quarter, bring the score to 35-7. Lafayette would answer with a score of their own, to make the score 35-14. Neither team would score again, and Trion would claim the victory with a final score of 35-14. 

Trion will travel to Walker next week seeking a third win. The game will be broadcast online here at www.chattoogainfo.com

Chattooga would keep Heard County close in the first quarter, moving the ball down the field and stopping Heard County on their early drives. However, in the second quarter, Heard County would strike on two long runs, one of 40 yards and one of 80 yards, that would give them a 14-0 advantage at the half. The Indians would again have trouble moving the ball and Heard County would capitalize be scoring 16 more points to take the game by a final score of 30-0. The loss took Chattooga's record to 0-2 on the season.
