A single vehicle accident was reported this morning on Highway 48 near Menlo. According to Chattooga County 911 the accident happened shortly after 7 AM. A woman was transported to a Rome hospital by Redmond EMS as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. No names have been released at this point and no word on the extent of the victim's injuries. We will have more information as it is made available by the Georgia State Patrol.
