Memorial Day weekend was a busy one for local law enforcement.  According to the docket records from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s office there were a total of 22 arrests and citations made over the holiday period which began Friday and ended last night at midnight.  Three county residents and one person from out of the area were charged with driving under the influence over the weekend.  Twenty Four year old Apache Wayne Campbell of a Given Street Address in Summerville was charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident; Twenty Two year old Jonathan Oates of a Rose Circle address in Trion was charged with DUI and endangering a child under the age of 14; Thirty Seven year old Carl Shropshire of a Ben Moseley Circle address in Summerville was charged with DUI for both alcohol and drugs and Mahendibhai Patel, age 33 of  a South Carolina address was charged with DUI.
