Summerville City Police Officers responded to a domestic dispute over the holiday weekend.

Early in the afternoon on July 4th, Summerville Police Officers responded to a Montgomery Street address in regards to a disturbance. Arriving on the scene, Officers spoke with Brittany Jones who stated that she was at that residence to pick up her aunt, Cynthia Stapp. Stapp had been staying at the residence with Melinda Durham.

Stapp stated that the previous night she and Durham had gotten into an argument and that she had sustained injuries on her arm. While Officers did see the injuries but were unable to determine if the injuries were from the previous night or from sometime older. Officers also spoke with Melinda Durham who stated that she wanted Cynthia Stapp and Brittany Jones to leave her property. Officers advised Stapp of further legal actions and the two ladies left the property.
