As of Noon Saturday ten people have been killed in traffic crashes across Georgia since the Thanksgiving holiday travel period began Wednesday at 6 p.m.  The holiday period ends at midnight Sunday, November 30.

As of Noon Saturday, no fatalities had been reported by the Rome Georgia State Patrol post, however the Georgia State Patrol post in LaFayette had reported one fatality.

With wet roads across the state, the Georgia State Patrol reminds drivers to reduce their speed, make sure the vehicle’s headlights are on, leave more space between vehicles, and make sure everyone is properly restrained.
