A Summerville man reported on Tuesday that his home was burglarized earlier in the month.

According to the Chattooga County Sheriff's office report, Jackie Coley said his home on Wayside Church Road was broken into on January 20.  

 

Reported taken was two chainsaws, one Craftsman, one Husqvarna; eight watches and groceries.  

 

Coley told deputies he confronted two people he considered suspects in the incidence and both confessed to him that they had entered his home and taken the items. The suspects reportedly used a knife to gain entry.

 

According to the report, Coley had made arrangements with the men to either return the items or pay him for them. That arrangement was not kept, according to the report. Coley also told officers of another incident on Beaver's Road he believed the suspects had involvement with. The burglary reportedly is under investigation.  

 

The report lists an estimate of the items taken at $1230.
