Just before noon Tuesday, Lafayette firefighters were dispatched to a report of a house fire, in the 100 block of Rhyne Road.

That fire apparently began in a bedroom of the home, quickly engulfing one wall in flames – firefighters managed to contain the blaze to that area; however there was smoke and water damage throughout the home.

Fortunately no one was hurt in the incident. The Lafayette Fire Department, Walker County Emergency Services and the Lafayette Police Department responded to the scene.
