Georgia’s Unemployment is at an all-time high, and many are wandering just when things will begin to turn around.  In the Coosa Valley Area which includes Chattooga County unemployment is even higher than the state average.  Georgia State economist Carter Doyle says that it took two years after the last recession for the state to recover, however he says that things might be different this time with increased federal spending. Starting this week Georgian’s who draw unemployment checks will see an additional $25 per week in their checks.  The average unemployment check in Georgia is $292.00
