A Trion man on Tuesday reported that his property was damaged and a ladder was stolen sometime between Saturday and Tuesday. According to the report by Deputy Gary Campbell, Michael Hall of Halls Valley Drive, Trion said he and his son-in-law had installed an eight-foot-by-eight-foot metal building on 30-foot posts on some leased hunting property about a quarter of a mile behind a Halls Valley Drive residence on the tallest ridge on the property that is accessible only by four wheeler.

 According to the report, metal cables supported the structure. Sometime between noon Saturday and 7 a.m. Tuesday someone reportedly tipped over the building, beat the hasp and lock off the door, and took metal cables supporting the structure. The suspects also reportedly took an 18-inch by 10-foot section of the green ladder used to access the hunting stand. The homemade hunting stand is valued at $1,000 and was severely damaged by being tipped onto the ground, according to the report, which indicated that there are no suspects in the incident at this time.
