A Chattooga County man is facing charges after a domestic dispute at a Centepost Road residence Sunday.

 

According to the report, officers arrived at the home and found the woman on the porch with her two children, all crying. One of the  sons sobbing, said, "Daddy tried to kill Mommy."

 

According to the woman, 33-year-old James Eden was in the bathroom and had been there since the woman's father had pulled into the driveway.  The officer noted that when he found Eden, Eden had a scratch on his arm and a small cut on his back. He said his wife had tased him when he walked in the door. He refused treatment by EMS, according to the report. 

 

The woman said the couple had argued on the way home that day and he cursed her and told her to get out and walk. She said after they arrived home, she tried to call 911 for assistance he took the phone and threw it across the yard. 

 

She said she and the children ran inside and locked the door. But when her husband threatened to get his keys and come inside, she let him in. That was when Eden reportedly shoved her against a wall and she said she used a handheld stun gun on him. He reportedly took the stun gun away and she said she kicked him away. 

 

Officers did find the cell phone in the yard with the battery knocked out of it. Eden denied pushing his wife against the wall. The children reportedly said he did.

 

Eden was charged with simple battery in violation of the Family Violence Act and interfering with a 911 call.
