Summerville Public Works Director Terry Tinnie told WZQZ News that a worker that was injured on the job earlier this week was back to work the next day.

The accident happened on Filter Plant Road where the city is laying water line to supply the city’s filter plant with water from two wells being dug off of Highway 48.  According to Tinnie, the worker was injured when a ditch-bank collapsed and pinned the worker between the dirt and a pipe.

The worker was taken for evaluation, but didn’t have any broken bones or permanent injuries.  Tinnie said that the worker was back on the job the next day and was “sore and bruised up” but otherwise okay.
