The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a debit card fraud case that was reported last week.  According to a report, the complainant said she noticed some unusual activity on her debit card last Saturday.

Kristen Crabtree told a responding deputy that someone had stolen $1,338.99 through an online payment platform. The card was used multiple times throughout the month of March.

The complainant’s bank had canceled the card and an investigation is being conducted by the sheriff’s office.
