According to information contained in a news release from DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris, a 48 year old white male was shot and killed on Friday night.
DeKalb County E9-1-1 received a call stating that the victim – who, according to various media outlets, has been identified as Kenneth Shaw, had been shot.
Henagar Police Department Officers and DeKalb County Deputies quickly arrived and found Shaw lying face-down in the front yard of the Weaver Road address deceased; coroner Tom
Wilson was called to the scene, and he transported the body to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science for an autopsy ordered by District Attorney Mike O’Dell.
Sheriff Harris says they are still investigating the incident – and they do have one person of interest being held in the Jackson County Jail on unrelated charges. He added that they have two other persons of interest that were placed in the
vehicle with the alleged shooter.
