An investigation is underway to determine who broke into two historic churches in Menlo last week. According to reports, break-inns at the Menlo First Baptist Church and Menlo Methodist Church were discovered on Monday morning – with both of the break-inns believed to have taken place overnight Sunday. Menlo First Baptist Pastor Scott Quinn said the robbers got away with some church Sunday School offering money and caused damage to the churches.   Additionally it was discovered on Tuesday of last week that the Presbyterian Church in Menlo had also been broken into. The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the incident.
