Chattooga County Sheriff’s investigators continue to investigate a stabbing incident that took place at the Menlo Barn Dance on Highway 48 between Summerville and Menlo early New Years Morning. According to eye-witnesses, a fight broke out between at least two men at the dance and the fight spilled over into the parking lot of the establishment.
Reports indicated that other patrons pulled the men apart who were fighting and it was discovered that one of the men had been stabbed. The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department told AM 1180 on Saturday that the man, who was stabbed, identified by eye-witnesses as Jamie Tucker, was taken by ambulance to a Rome hospital.
Family members said that Tucker was admitted to the ICU and later on Saturday listed in stable condition.
