A spokesman with the State Fire Marshal’s Office will not speculate on what caused a deadly explosion at a Rockmart feed mill on Sunday, however he did say that investigators will be back out at the site Tuesday.

The fire marshal is conducting the investigation along with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

25-year old Justin Deems of Rockmart was killed in the explosion that occurred at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the JCG Farms facility on the Rome Road.

Five others were injured, including one worker who was airlifted to Grady Hospital in Atlanta and a second employee who was transferred from Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome to the burn unit at Cobb-Wellstar in Kennesaw.
