The investigation into the theft of a trailer filled with Little Debbie snack cakes, from the lot of the Highway 27 Walmart remains under investigation.
During the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 15th a report was filed by the owner stating that someone had driven away with the trailer, which contained Little Debbie snack cakes, valued at around $10,000.
Tommy Rabun told investigators he had left the 8×24 trailer on the parking lot overnight.
The milk delivery man, told Rabun that he had witnessed a black Dodge dually truck pulling the stolen trailer off the lot and heading south on Highway 27.
The description is as follows an 8×24 enclosed trailer which is a 2004 Horton Car Hauler, V-Nose, white trailer with a roll up ramp, and black trim.
There are actually no Little Debbie logos on the outside of the trailer, so we're not sure that the thief even knew what was inside when he drove away.
I guess you could call it a $10,000 surprise.
We recently spoke with Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader regarding the incident and he informed us that the matter remains under investigation, and added that his department is following up on leads in the case.
