`Last week Chattooga County Sheriff Deputies responded to a tampered with storage unit.
On December 18th Deputies responded to the Summerville Storage Units located on highway 27. Upon arrival Deputies spoke with Michael Graham who rents storage unit #39. Mr. Graham had arrived at the unit and had noticed that the lock on the unit was different from the lock he had been using. Graham contacted the Storage Unit owner, Mr. John Malone, who came over and cut the lock off the unit. An initial look at the unit showed evidence of having been tampered with. Items were not in their original location, and several items were missing. Two bag of sodium hydroxide and a camo bow and arrow were noticed immediately as missing. Mr. Graham told Deputies that he would go through the unit more in depth at a later date to see if anything else was missing.
The last time anyone was at the unit was 3 weeks prior and nothing was amiss then. The case is still active.
