Approximately $398 worth of items were shoplifted from Walmart last week.

 

According to the Sheriff's Department report, a Walmart employee said she saw a man she knew walk out of the store without paying for 62 different food and clothing items. A woman who reportedly lived near the suspect said she also saw him and spoke to him in the store.

 

The employee told deputies she would have video and more information available.

 

Officers searched the area and found all of the items still in the shopping card, across the railroad tracks, behind Walmart. The shoplifting was no where to be found. The food items had to be destroyed leaving the recovered items valued at $298. The incident was turned over to investigators.
