A homeowner was burglarized while in the hospital, with several hundred dollars worth of items stolen.
According to reports from the Chattooga County Sheriffs Office, homeowner Larry Stokes was in the hospital for several weeks in Cedartown, Georgia. After one visit his wife arrived home to discover that a Stil weedeater and his grandsons dirt bike were missing. Stokes stated that the weedeater cost an estimated $300 and the dirt bike was around $400. Stokes also told investigators that he believed his step daughter and her boyfriend had stolen the items as they were the last people seen at the home prior to Mrs. Stokes leaving.
