A Summerville man already in jail on charges on outstanding warrants, is facing additional charges from the Summerville Police Department.  Earlier, this month Derrick Hogue was arrested on the outstanding warrants after police came to his residence to arrest his brother for stealing a bicycle.  Police reviewed video surveillance from White’s Tire and Alignment from June 30th that showed a prowler entering a vehicle on the business’s premises.  Police believed it to be the man who was arrested on the outstanding warrants.  Police went to the Chattooga County Jail to speak with the suspect. When first asked by police about the incident, Derrick Hogue denied entering the vehicle, but later admitted to it.  Hogue was additionally charged with entering a motor vehicle with intent to commit theft.
