| The Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) is seeking candidates for our Economic Support Associate in Chattooga. |
| The Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) is the part of DHS that investigates child abuse; finds foster homes for abused and neglected children; helps low income, out-of-work parents get back on their feet; assists with childcare costs for low income parents who are working or in job training; and provides numerous support services and innovative programs to help troubled families.
Under direct supervision, in a call center environment, the Economic Support Specialist will conduct interview to determine initial and ongoing eligibility for Food Stamps and Medicaid. The Economic Support Specialist will also respond to customer phone calls, emails, and faxes; while performing the necessary research to answer customer inquiries, resolves customer concerns, and prepares reports as needed. |

Qualifications
|
| As such, excellent communication skills (demeanor, speech, and written) and a professional image are prerequisites. Applicant should also have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, and a minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.
Our ideal candidate will have an Undergraduate degree and experience that involved screening or interviewing customers/clients |
