Last week, WZQZ News reported that a Summerville attorney was jailed after several outbursts in Chattooga County Superior Court.  Attorney Jim Oxford reportedly caused several disruptions in Judge Graham’s courtroom, and the judge ordered a drug test done on the attorney.

Oxford tested positive for methamphetamine and other substances and was sent to jail for contempt of court.

A hearing will be held into the incident, but the judges with the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit have recused themselves from the matter.  A judge from another circuit will be brought in to hear the case against Mr. Oxford.

Oxford has retained the services of Attorney Steve Miller to represent him, according to sources.
