You may want to keep an eye on the weather overnight tonight.  The National Weather Service in Huntsville, Alabama has issued a Winter Storm Warning for areas just west of us in Alabama, including the DeKalb County and Mentone areas where they are expecting a good chance of icy conditions developing over the next twenty-four hours.

For today we should see a cold rain with showers likely and high in the mid-forties.  Overnight tonight, the moisture will still be in place and temperatures are expected to fall around the freezing mark in some parts of Northwest Georgia.  Higher elevations, like Lookout Mountain, could see temperature drop earlier in the night than other areas.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City, Georgia says for Chattooga County,  there is a 90% chance of precipitation with rain to start off the night and then change over to sleet before ending in snow on Tuesday morning.
