The City of LaFayette refused to consider the option of restaurants serving beer and wine in local restaurants.  The City Council’s response to the idea was that it “is too controversial.”  The council said that they wanted the public to vote in a straw pole on the issue before they consider it; then they would call a vote on the issue.  Apparently less controversial is the idea of selling beer at the LaFayette City –owned golf course.  The LaFayette City Council approved that idea on Monday by a vote of 3-2.
