A LaFayette man told LaFayette Police that a former girlfriend came to his home and tried to run over him with a vehicle.

While beating on doors and windows of the home, the woman broke glass out of a window, according to the report.  The man said he was in fear for his life when he jumped out of the vehicles path.  While she was at the wheel, the victim said she ran into his parked car in the driveway.

At her address on Daugherty Street, Police later arrested 47 year old Cathy Elizabeth Jones.  She had hidden the vehicle behind her home in some trees.

Jones was taken to jail on charges including criminal trespass, first degree criminal damage to property, aggravated assault and striking an unattended vehicle.
