A LaFayette couple was arrested earlier this past week on charges of operating a meth lab in an apartment on Patterson Street.  At the time of the arrest a four year old child was at the apartment with Steven Lamar Patterson and Melinda Sutton.  Later it was learned that the couple had two more children at school at the time of the drug bust.  All three children are now in the care of the Department of Family and Children Services.  Patterson and Sutton were both charged with possession and manufacture of meth on Wednesday of this past week.
