LaFayette Middle School’s Principal has been charged with driving under the influence with two young children in the vehicle.
The arrest happened in Catoosa County following a fireworks show at the Colonnade. William Kelly Long of Chickamauga was charged with DUI and endangering children under 14.
The report says two deputies tried to stop southbound traffic off of Old Mill Road, when a red Jeep “drove in between them at a high rate of speed with no regard for their safety or the safety of other motorists.”
Long reportedly failed a sobriety test after being stopped by the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Department.
