In Nashville Wednesday night, country music’s biggest stars converged at the Bridgestone Arena for the 59th Annual CMA Awards — where one name dominated the show. Lainey Wilson was awarded the top honor, Entertainer of the Year, for the second time. She also took home Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for her record Whirlwind.
Wilson hosted the ceremony, performed a high-energy medley, and used her acceptance speeches to thank her fans, family, and fiancé, while championing women in country music.
Other big winners included Ella Langley and Riley Green, whose hit single “You Look Like You Love Me” swept multiple categories — Single of the Year, Song of the Year, and Music Video of the Year. Male Vocalist of the Year went to Cody Johnson. First-time winner Zach Top was named New Artist of the Year. Meanwhile, legend Vince Gill accepted the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award.
The night also featured standout performances from Luke Combs, Kelsea Ballerini, Chris Stapleton and more — delivering raw vocals and big production moments. Despite a packed show and serious competition, Lainey Wilson’s performance and wins made it clear she’s currently country music’s defining star.
The ceremony was broadcast live on ABC and will be available to stream on Hulu.
