The Chattooga County Land Use Commission met last week and one of the commission members stressed that she believes board members should not be paid for their time on the commission.  Commissioner Blake Elsberry appointed the five-person commission last year and it consists of chairman Eddy Willingham, Grey Winstead, Ansly Smith, Lee Hamby and Myra Green.  Green made an amendment to a motion last week that will put wording in the revision of the land use ordinance that ensures that land use commission members remains a voluntary position.  The commission has sent two revisions of the land use ordinance to Chattooga County Commissioner Blake Elsberry for his consideration.
