Florida isn’t the only placed plagued by sink holes – one almost big enough to park a car in – has recently made an appearance just across the state line in Gaylesville, Alabama.

The large sink hole appeared in Sheila Canada’s front yard on 68 last week and she contacted the county engineer and county EMA office, who came out to inspect the site.

County Engineer Corey Chambers – who estimated the depth of the sinkhole at approximately 12 feet – said the hole may actually get a bit bigger with more wet weather but fortunately didn’t see it posing any immediate danger due to the fact that it’s so far away from the home.
