If you plan to vote early in the 2020 Primary Elections, you have until the end of the day today to cast your ballot.  Early voting hasn’t see a great turnout and some wonder if the same will be true for Election Day next Tuesday.

If you wish to early vote, you need to go by the Chattooga County Registrar Office today and cast your ballot.  Otherwise, you can cast your ballot on Tuesday.  But remember, there are social-distancing rules that will be followed when you go to vote.  That means that lines will form outside the precincts and only a certain number of people will be allowed inside.

On top of that, precincts have been combined to the COVID-19 Pandemic.  Voters from Cloudland and Alpine (Menlo) Precincts will be voting at the Menlo School Gym.  Voters from Lyerly, Dirtseller (Oak Hill), Seminole (Chattoogaville) and Coldwater (Holland) will be voting at the Lyerly School Gym.  Voters from Teloga, Pennville and Trion will cast their ballots at the Trion School Gym.  Voters in Subligna are being moved from the Subligna Fire Hall to Subligna Baptist Church.

Only Summerville, Haywood and Dirttown (G0re) will be voting at their regular polling places.

No matter when you choose to vote, be sure to bring a picture ID when you come to cast your ballot.
