Last Day to Burn After today it will be several months before residents of Northwest Georgia will be allowed to burn yard debris.  The burn ban goes into affect on May 1^st and will last until the end of September.  Chattooga, Bartow, Floyd, Polk, Dade and Walker Counties are all under a burn ban. Last Day to Get Mobile Home Taxes Paid Today is the deadline in Chattooga County for residents to pay their mobile home taxes without a penalty. Tax Commissioner Katy V. Brown reminds mobile home owners that no matter if you live in the mobile home, use it for storage or rent it out, you are still responsible for paying the mobile home tax.
