Chattooga County officials were updated by the National Weather Service on Sunday afternoon regarding the winter storm headed towards Northwest Georgia this evening. According to Chattooga County EMA Director Eddie Henderson, the National Weather Service is saying that Chattooga County can expect 4 -6 " of snow Sunday evening through Monday – with up to 1/10" of ice on Monday. Also the National Weather Service says that we could see winds of 10-20 mph associated with this weather event. NWS officials are looking for precipitation to start in Chattooga County around 8 PM this evening.
