Randall Shane Barnett, age 30 of Leesburg – was listed on the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office website Friday (April 22nd, 2011) as being charged with Court Order/Attempted Murder.

Barnett had been arrested in February of 2009, by Leesburg Police Chief Lanny Ransum, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Seth Rochester and District Attorney’s Office Investigator, Danny Smith – in connection with the shooting of Bradley Ballenger.

Ballenger himself, called 9-1-1 to report that he’d been shot; he was found lying on the ground, next to his pickup a few moments later and was transported to Gadsden Regional Medical Center for treatment – eventually recovering from his wounds.
