As of 4:00 a.m. Friday less than 300 NGEMC customers were without power following yesterday’s thunderstorms and strong winds. NGEMC officials thank customers for their patience as crews worked through the night and continue to work to replace broken poles and downed power lines. The remaining outages are concentrated in Gordon, Murray and Whitfield counties with some scattered damage in other counties. Please stay away from downed lines and report them immediately to NGEMC, your local power company or call 911. NGEMC members may report outages through the NGEMC Mobile App, the NGEMC Mobile Web App, or by calling NGEMC and using the automated telephone outage reporting system. Crews will remain on duty until all power has been restored.
