Join the staff of the Chattooga Public Library for a special Book vs. Movie teen event.
A Young Adult novel, that was later made into a major motion picture, has been selected by local teen library users. On Monday, March 14th, teens (ages 13-17) can check out the book between 9:00am and 6:00pm.
The teens will have 26 days to read the book before watching the movie adaptation on Friday, April 8th at 5:30pm. After the movie ends, we will discuss the differences that we saw, things we liked and disliked, and what we would have added to the movie and what we would have taken out.
This event is designed strictly for ages 13 and over, movies will be rated at PG-13 and up. Titles that are picked will be rated for young adult readers and may contain some scenes and language that might be inappropriate for individuals younger than 13 years old.
