Three Chattooga County attorneys are reportedly filing suit against a tree trimming service for allegedly damaging flowers and trees on their property.

According to a report by the Summerville News, the property is owned by Bobby Lee Cook, Sutton Connelly and Jeffrey Scott Connelly and the suit alleges that, around October 20th – Lewis Tree Services of New York, intentionally and maliciously entered that property with heavy machinery including Bobcats causing extensive damage by causing heavy ruts, holes, crevices and ditches. 

Part of the property affected included an area where some 6,000 daffodils had been planted over the last seven years; the plaintiffs also contend that the tree service cut limbs from an ancient cypress tree – and furthermore, the company did NOT have permission to work on their land.

That lawsuit, which was filed November 3rd, seeks $25,000 in compensatory damages and $45,000 in punitive damages.
