Last week local Law Enforcement arrested two men on Simple Battery charges following a fight with a neighbor.

On March 24th, Law Enforcement responded to a call on Saunders Road regarding a domestic dispute. Two men exited the residence with blood on their person. Alton Luther Shaw, Jr. appeared to have blood coming from his face and Caleb Dustin Hines had blood on his shirt.

Shaw and Hines stated that the neighbor, Brandon Parris had came out complaining about the loud music and then attacked Shaw and his wife.

Parris told a slightly different version of events. He stated he did go to the corner of his property to discuss the volume of the music. A verbal argument ensued between the three men, and when Parris’ wife intervened, Shaw and Hines attacked him. Parris said he did fight back in defense.

After speaking with Parris wife, Officers arrested Shaw and Hines for simple battery.
