Chattooga County native and gospel music performer Michael Lee has been nominated as Male Vocalist of the Year by The Singing News Magazine.

The Singing News is the industry standard for Southern Gospel Music genre, similar to Billboard Magazine in secular music.  Each year the magazine puts out a list of nominees for awards in various categories.  The magazine’s subscribers then vote on the winners.  The awards are presented during the National Quartet Convention.

On his Facebook Page Sunday, Michael Lee said, “Got some great news today! Found out that my name has been put on the ballot for Male Vocalist Of The Of The Year for The Singing News! To God be the GLORY! Thanks Ed, Rick, and everyone at Daywind/Red Hen for everything!”
