Both local school systems – Chattooga County Schools and Trion City Schools – are closed today due to the forecast of winter weather.

A Winter Weather Warning is in affect until 1 AM on Thursday morning for all of Northwest Georgia including Chattooga County.  Forecasters say that we could see up to 2 inches of snow, along with freezing rain this morning and then rain and freezing rain this afternoon.  Freezing rain expected this evening and tonight.
