After a public hearing on Tuesday evening the Lyerly Town Council approved a liquor license for Jaiminiben Patel.  Patel is the wife of Tony Patel in Lyerly who plans to open the first liquor store in Chattooga County.   Lyerly voters approved the sale of liquor in the city limits last fall during the 2010 General Election.  Patel’s license will now go on to the State of Georgia for final approval.  The Patel’s are planning a new building to house the liquor store in Lyerly.
