Chattooga County Public Works Director Lamar Canada told AM 1180 that the Lyerly Dam Bridge will be closed "the better part of the day" today so that county work crews can work on re-surfacing the roadway on the bridge. The road will be closed from Starling Mill Road and Highway 114. Canada said that the crews would have the bridge back open this evening.  Stay tuned to AM 1180 for updates.
