A Lyerly man died Saturday in a Rome hospital after reciving multiple injuries in a wreck Friday morning in Cherokee County, Alabama.According to the Alabama State Troopers: 22-year-old Christopher Lee Cody Allen, of Lyerly, lost control of his 1996 Dodge pick-up truck on Cherokee County Road 41 near the County Road 91 intersection , north of Gaylesville, Friday morning around 5:15 and was ejected from the vehicle. Efforts to airlift Allen from the scene were thwarted by heavy fog so he was transported by ambulance to a Rome hospital where he succumbed to his injuries Saturday.
