The Lyerly Recreation Department has announced that registration is now open for the upcoming youth basketball season, inviting children ages 5 through 14 to sign up for community league play.

Parents and guardians interested in registering their children must do so by the deadline of Tuesday, October 31st.

The basketball program aims to provide a fun, structured environment for young athletes to learn the fundamentals of the game, develop teamwork skills, and engage in healthy physical activity throughout the fall and winter months.

Sign-ups are currently being held at Lyerly Town Hall during standard operating hours.

• Who Can Play: The program is open to children ranging from ages 5 to 14.
• Age Control Date: Participation brackets are determined by the child’s age as of September 1st.
• Cost: The registration fee is $20 per child. This minimal fee helps cover equipment and operational costs for the league.
