A Lyerly Elementary School first-grader took second-place in North Georgia EMC’s annual art contest.  Cianna Stewart’s artwork was judged alongside students from across the NGEMC service area in Northwest Georgia.

Each year, NGEMC holds an annual art contest open to kindergarten through fifth grade students in Catoosa, Chattooga, Floyd, Gordon, Murray, Walker and Whitfield. The theme for this year’s contest was “Power Through the Pandemic.” Students were asked to illustrate what they have done during the COVID-19 pandemic. We received many impressive entries, and were fascinated to see the lives of each artist shining through their drawings.

Drawings were broken into two categories for judging: Grades K-2 and 3-5.
