An Armuchee man was arrested Saturday accused of stealing ice cream sandwiches and a jug of tea.

Joshua James Childers was charged with burglary breaking into his brother's home.

According to the report by the Chattooga County Sheriff's Department, Jason Childrens of South Little Sand Mountain Road, Armuchee reported that when he returned from work on Friday he found a bedroom window on his home had been shattered and the blinds hanging out of the window. There reportedly also were cement blocks stacked under the window. Also, according to the report, the driver's side door on his truck, which had been locked, was open.

Inside the truck, Childer's told the deputy he found a box of M&M ice cream sandwiches and a jug of iced tea that had been stored inside his refrigerator inside the house. Childer's said he suspected his brother, Joshua James Childers and went to his brother's home brother's home to confront him.

Jason Childers said once he got there, his brother was acting off and tried to throw a television and dresser onto the floor.  It was at that point Jason Childers called 911. 

Upon entering Jason Childer's home with content officers found the home to be normal except there was cinnamon powder poured onto the kitchen table. It is thought to be the same powder found in the jug of tea found in the truck. Also there were popsicle wrappers on the kitchen floor next to the refrigetor. Similar wrappers were found on Joshua Childer's front porch, according to the report.  A set of keys missing from atop Jason Childer's kitchen table also reportedly were found under Joshua Childer's front porch.

Joshua Childers was charged wtih Burglary in the First Degree and Entering an Auto. He was transported to the Chattooga County Jail without incident.
