A 45 year old Rome resident has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with a serious incident reportedly occurring on Halloween.

According to warrants, Phillip David Watson is accused of holding a shotgun to the face of a female victim, and threatening to pull the trigger.  He is also accused of striking the victim and causing bruising.

Watson was additionally charged with battery in connection with the incident.
