A twenty-five-year-old man was arrested on Sunday after Walmart employees called the sheriff’s department because the man was sleeping on the store’s parking lot.  When a deputy approached the man he told the deputy that he had been walking, heading to his “tribe”, and had stopped to sleep.  Based on the man’s speech and behavior, the officer believed that he was under the influence of some sort of drug.  The man told the deputy he just wanted to be left alone so that he could sleep.  The deputy informed the man that Walmart did not want him on their property and that he was placing him under arrest for being a pedestrian under the influence.  At that point, the man began yelling at the deputy and repeatedly used racial slurs towards the deputy.  Austin Blake Holland was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on charges of being a pedestrian under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
