A man faces multiple charges following a domestic violence investigation in Chattooga County.

According to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded on July 17 to a residence after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance involving Bronson Keith Sutton, 51, and a female victim.

While deputies were en route, they were advised Sutton had left the residence in a vehicle. A BOLO was issued, and a deputy later located Sutton at the intersection of Highway 114 and Foster Street in Lyerly. Deputies reported detecting a strong odor of alcohol and observed that Sutton was unsteady on his feet.

Following an investigation, Sutton was charged with Battery – Family Violence (Misdemeanor), Cruelty to Children in the Third Degree (Misdemeanor), DUI – Alcohol (Misdemeanor), Open Container, and Unlawful Conduct During a 911 Call.

He was transported to the Chattooga County Jail without further incident.

As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
